The actuator I am using is a cosworth type 31. I also had to go top mount due to space limitations. I think you are right with the 0.8 bar of boost but I will hopoefully be running 15-18ish psi

    Any other questions just ask

    Jim.
Thanks for the actuator info. I'll search fleabay later.

I am going to start standard boost and see how it goes. Std rear axle is meant to be good for 300hp. Turbocharged Alfa 155 touring car engines have been fitted before but mine will be my daily driver in the summer.

Cant wait to see yours when finished
I think mine will be a weekend driver with a view of the drag strip when possible

I will hopefully have more pics to upload tomorrow.

Got another update on the bodywork/engine bay work being carried out on the car

Worthy of a mention to a mate of mine scottie who has been cutting and rebuilding the bulkhead for the past two weeks

Anyway, these pics show whats been happening. The bulkhead has had to be cut to allow the engine to be moved back another two inches. This should be a help to power/wieght distribution in the car and it allows me to fit everything in

When the anglia was standard there was a slight lip behind the engine and I have again kept that to make it look like an SR is meant to be there!

The sump has also had to be adapted to allow it to fit! I have ways of compensating for the small amount of volume that has been lost through things such as an oil cooler relocation kit

Inside the tunnel has been fully remade and I have had to lower my steering 20mm. I do not have pics of this yet but I will upload them soon. Over the weekend the car will be getting prepped to go for paint so that will probably be the next update that I put up!

    Cheers, Jim

    Another update

Another thanks goes out to Scottie for his work to get this done so quickly! Since the last update the bulkhead has been fully prepped, primered and painted and the tunnel inside the same.

The engine and gearbox have also been mounted into their final position

I am now at the stage of rebuilding the engine. As the bodywork has been finished so quickly I am hoping I will get a tune from the engine long before the planned time Very happy with whats been done so far!

    Anyway, a few new pics...

    Finished bulkhead before paint.

    Finished tunnel.

    Engine back in.

    Cheers,

    Jim

Awesome work mate! the bay is a work of art

You only need two tools in life - wd-40 and duct tape. If it doesn't move and should, use the wd-40. If it shouldn't move and does, use the duct tape.

And if you can't fix it with a hammer, you've got an electrical problem!

    Hi Mate

What pre/post pump filter are you using? I am probaly going down the Z32 fuel filter pre pump as a cost effective route with my 044 external pump.

    Cheers

Hi mate, sorry for the slow reply.

I am using the same setup but I also have a walbro pump. That was good with the CA so hopefully its still ok with the SR

    Another update!

Thats the engine install complete and running, I am so pleased with the result and to have it in so quickly. The car is now only needing a propshaft before it can go to be mapped

I have also landed a magazine feature which I am over the moon with

Here are a couple of pics...

    Thanks again for the help

    Jim

    Just small picture update...

Had the bonnet on the car again for the first time and fitted my new custom strut brace

It will hopefully be around a week or two when it has been mapped and taken onto the quarter

The car hasnt been cleaned properly yet in these pics, they were taken before the weekend

    Thanks

Its just an autochrome manfold that has been slightly modded to pull the turbo slightly further away from the engine!

More info on the escort would be great, love nissan/ford projects

hey matey...im just awaitng the funds to have the welding done on it.
    Tunnel,
    Seat rails
    Floor pans,
    Linked
    Tubbed,
    Seam welded,
    Chassis rails.

Then the engine will be chassis mounted, all fully forged running a nistune set up...once ive got it mapped.
    Its all going in this...

    That looks excellent mate

Im definetly of the opinion these are the easier option than the cosworth, and a bit of change is always nice
