Ok, they're pretty much the same as what you're done only the run is straighter and they're jammed tight between the subframe and fuel tank... As soon as it gets to the transmission tunnel and into those silver clips you should be laughing
Not a tight fit on mine at all
Hmm... there is, of course, every possibility that our cables are different!
Like I said, it is only about 1" short now, and with a bit of fiddling I may be able to stretch the slack out of the handbrake and pull the end onto the clip. I can then de-adjust the drums if need be.
I spent today doing the drivers side swap, so will look tomorrow It took a good hour to seperate the hub/upright AGAIN! And the brake calliper bolts were horrible

should have just been lazy and fitted a complete R33 subframe haha
just a quick check that the obvious hasn't been overlooked, is the cable from the lever to the subframe slackened off all the way?
Sounds like you have the wrong cables mate
I wouldn't bother stretching then, just find some way of joining the S14 ends to the cables you've got
PMSL, Jackal left the handbrake onOriginally Posted by Matt_T

I was about to put a hydroilc handbreak system on the Z32 calipers, so as to get rid of this...
Make sure its a "locking" one or it will fail the MOT ive been told.Originally Posted by greg_p

Out of curiosity, if I needed to clamp an extra length of cable to the Z32 cables, how would I attach the two, so that they can take the tension? All I can find on google is these:

Ben / Jackal / Antony
Remind me to have a good look under yours at JAE, as I'll be doing this a couple of week after it seems.

Good Luck...
Lol, you'll have fun trying to split the hubs from the uprights
Ben, another thought, do yoh have the part numbers or any pics of the cables you used?
i found it easy to split them with as big copper mallet, just hammered ther feck out of them, the whole conversion i did in a day and it was quite easy really
Don't have any pics but can get you the part numbers
I wouldnt mind the part number, as I'm not having any luck sourcing a used cable (although I havent yet rung the skyline breakers @ Nuneaton)
Yes pleaseOriginally Posted by BenTaylor200
I can check on FAST then, to see if the ones I have look like the ones I should have!
