Buffy maybe..
how many others would you need for the group buy..
57
The more people the cheaper the units will be
Bear in mind that others maybe cheaper but these units can, and do, go wrong and if you buy from someone doing the dodgy on the taxes etc then what are you going to do if a sensor fails or a unit goes t1ts up? Ive had three go wrong so far and dont think that you can just send them back to Innovate to have them repaired because we sent two back, got them back from Innovate and they had the very same fault that they were sent back for!
I can do the units cheaper still if you are prepared to risk getting a dodgy unit and are happy to waiver the warrenty
feck that then ..Originally Posted by bren
I want a unit that wont go tits up..
Weve had three out of maybe 40 play up.
so if I bought one and it went tits up
Good Question, based on the amount of Megasquirt kit he imports I would believe so, unfortunately I have no definitive answer. He was writing the build your own ECU articles in PPC Magazine.
They can come with or without a warrenty, if they come without warrenty then theyre cheaper

No, 12 month
And if you burn the sensor out by leaving it switched on withte engine off or coke the hell out of it because you run the car with it switched off then its not covered either
so it will be ok on the mantelpiece then...Originally Posted by bren

Would the Group buy be just for the LM-1 or would the standalone XD-1 (with LC-1) be included?
Tone,
You surely cant be saying that me not honouring a warrenty after someone has screwed up a sensor because of their own fault is unreasonable?
We can do a buy on any and everything
its not about you honouring the warrenty I know you would
it just seems the units are a bit fickle..
bloody handy tho
I'd be interested in the standalone XD-1 (with LC-1) if the price was rightOriginally Posted by bren
Is 3 out of 40 a high mortality rate for this kind of thing? Are they dead on arrival or do they die after a period of time/use?
They just dont work, Ive not had any fail, they just dont work from the off.
You don't need the LC-1 if you have the LM-1, they do the same thing! except the LM-1 has a display and data logs, the LC-1 is meant to go with the XD-1 gauge, if you don't rquire full data logging.Originally Posted by scimmy ben
But a warranty wouldn't be relevant in that situation anyway, it wouldn't be fit for the purpose sold? Or did I miss somethingOriginally Posted by bren
