bump! I've tried looking about, and have got a few bits of info, I just wanted to check with anyone who can confirm that the S15 power fc will work on an S14a? Most of the sources seem to suggest I can rewire the plugs and whatnot, and change the dwell timings for coilpacks, and injector settings (which won't be standard anyway)

    Thanks!

Yes, but you'll have to change some wiring and a few of the settings.

Yep, you'll need the datalogit to alter the dwell settings.

Any one know what iv got to do to fit an s15 D-jetro PFC to my s14a? I was running an L-Jetro befor so the 5 wires are already swapped, apart from the harness for the temp and MAP sensors, is there any thing else i need to do?

you'll just need to wire up the air temp sensor wires then...

theres only 2 wires... its about the only thing in the manual thats understandable as it has pictures

I have a problem with my Hand Commander on my 95 S14 Silvia :

The hand commander frezzes on the Apexi Logo, car runs fine its just I cant view any measurements.

I read the link that Channie posted up and as far as i can figure out i do have the correct Hand Commander

The Serial number on the ECU itself is -- PFC S141010-0178

The Serial number on the Hand Commander is -- FCC2 NT 020-02159

Can anyone tell me if I have the wrong Hand Commander or is it just that my Hand Commander is screwed?????

    Thanks for any help

    Hi,
im going to be changing my kouiki ECU (NATSII) to a zenki PowerFC - already made a subharness to fit the kouki to zenki ECU.

i understand that PFCs do not have any NATS or immobiliser units and so the car is pretty much unprotected, anything else ill be loosing that i havn't thought of?

can i run thestock ecu along with the pfc (obv. just the NATS II module)?

    thnaks,
    Al

The only things you are going to loose are

    Stock immobiliser
    Speed limiter
    Consult interface

Easiest solution if you have a working NATS II alarm system is to simply fit a new immobiliser and leave the stock alarm in the car.

    ok,
is it at all possible to run the stock ECU for NATS only? i didn't find in the FSM any pin's that relate to it.

    thanks,
    Al

The only reason i know for them to freeze is that it's a mismatched unit.

cheers mate, i haave been told that the people that mapped the car for a previos owner lock a PFC to prevent anyone messing with the settings.

    does this happen often?

I have not heard about this being done before

I cant see any benefit to doing it either, every car is different and no two maps will be identical.

Any links to a diagram or fitting guide. Or even where they go would help.

Are there any poerformance diffrences between the s14 and s14a PowerFC's? any reason to favour one over the other if i can use both?

    Cheers
