Thanks for the replies guys, I noticed the knock reading was around 80-100 but the reading became overly high from the sound of my dv.

To be honest Gary WTF do you know You haznt read the internetz init, so your experienz don't mean shiz!
I think we are going round in circles here Garry lol
Im not saying that any set figure is right or wrong, im simply stating that what is good for one engine may not be good for another.
The only way to determine what value is a safe value is to induce DET in the specific engine to pinpoint the value on the scale where it occurs.
You then have an exact point and are not just making assumptions.
Hi,
I have a Kouki S14 and a Zenki PFC, iv'e made a patch harness based on the FSM's so please bear that in mind.
Iv'e connected the PFC to the car, initialized the settings (it shouldn't take more than a milisecond after pressing YES right?) as there was a previous tune on the PFC, changed the boost control kit to the plus sign, did a sensor check which showed this:
if i understand it says that everything is ok, but the car simply won't start, it dosn't even turn over just sits still, any idea what sensor is the cause? i'm assuming that my wiring is wrong but the sensor check shows everythign is ok...
Thanks,
Al
Have you set the correct Air flow meter and Injector values ?
He said it doesn't turn over lol
Iv'e disconnected the battery and reset the PFC again, now the car does turn but won't start, all sensors seem ok in sensor check...
I'm running stock injectors and Z32 AFM (I kept the SAFC until i get the PFC tuned) so i guess when i initialized it (if it does only take a second) it was set back to stock

Go to settings and select the afm bit and click on vg30. This will tell the ecu u are using a z32 afm
Also what boost controller are you using. If your not using one on the power fc u need to switch that function off in the etc menu under function select.
Try disconnecting it and changing the setting on the power fc to suite the z32.
iv'e unplugged the SAFC and set it to VG30 and it still wont start, just turns forever...
I was told i might need to change the CAS refrence pins, shouldn't it be showed in the sensor check screen as faulty or is there no indication of it there?
Thanks!

Very similar to above really
mines showing this in the sensor check screen
Its a 14a pfc in a 14a and the engine turns over but will not fire. Everything that concerns the PFC is standard. I've switched off the boost controller kit too.
Any ideas?
