I was going to go for the intelligent morex board, but the carnetix looks a bit better, will probably go for that one now as it hooks straight up to the VIA EPIA M10000 board i'm going to use

    Looks supurb!

I really wouldn't worry too much about moisture.. As long as you don't get anything dripping onto the PCB I'd say you'd be fine.. The MDF willl absorb some moisture, and the heat from the PC will dry it out again over time..

As for the HDD.. If you ever have a problem with 3.5inch disks, try a laptop drive (2.5inch).. They're a million times more resiliant to shocks etc..

Good luck mate.. Looking really good so far..

    Thanks

The Carnetix one looks good, what output does it have? Ie, how do you plug it into the PC?? (ATX cable?)

Wow, looks excellent. Dont know much (actually anything) about all this but my only concern would be the screen on show.

I know Pioneer do a touch screen foldaway for their DVD and Nav packages. Could one of these be connected to a PC or would it not have the right connections?

Grazor's gone swanning off to Spain for a bit so updates will be less than forthcoming for the near future...

Doh. Bit pricey for a touch screen tho when you compare them to some of the stand-alone screens on ebay.

Just love the trick foldaway sequence

    Bugger!!

I had to change my order to the 7" as the 8" won’t fit!

    Still coming tomorrow

I got the 7" lilliput with touchscreen. Seems a reasonable bit of kit. Has yours arrived now??

Yep I got it 2 days ago

I took my old screen out and tried my new screen and it’s a perfect fit! Like it was made to fit behind the stereo surround

All I have to do is get a USB extension and a VGA extension cable as my PC is in the boot so it’s a little fare for it to travel on the standard cables.

I should have it all ready on Saturday
