Not my favourite, but worthy of a mention anyway
As is that
The Gulf GT40 probably tops it for me, but I love a lot of the 80's/90's GT cars, like that Porsche 956 and the Jag

Deffining my fav racer is a tad tricky - anything from the 50's and 60's gets my vote, particularily if it's european or euro influenced.
That period was the only time when form and fuction truely came together as being one and the same thing IMO.
Previous to this racers were mechanical contrivances designed to do a job which had a body stuck onto/around the resulting machine (take Manic Mechanics Napier for example). These were fantastic racers but were often quite ugly.
The low drag era of the 50's and 60's gave cars where the bodies were designed purely to be as slippery as possible; the form was primarily functional but resulted in some of the most beautiful automotive art ever created.
Since the early/mid 70's and the persuit of aerodynamic downforce/stability ect, racing cars have slowly moved back into the pure function over form format of the early years. And as far as I'm concerned most modern cars are fecking woefull on the styling front, the DB9 is one of the few modern cars I actually like....
I took the pictures below while at Goodwood last year (except the Honda, that's in a museum in Germany IIRC )
To me the yearly event of blagging my way into the paddock is the equivalent of blagging your way into heaven
(and you lot were at ChavFest™ - I mean trax during this )
