    stereo fitting

    how do you go about it? that flimsy plastic bit at the front wont hold a stereo in solid for sure

    i think i still have the old one but i didnt remove it so im not sure on how to go about securing the new one in?

    im a electrician

    the wiring is complete already, i can figure out how to fit it but im not in the car atm so thought id ask so i could be pointed in the general direction.

    yes all them lovly pinks and erm pinks

    flimsy plastic bit??? that's just the cover. there's a big load of metal framework behind that!!

    remove the big plastic trim (the one that goes round ash tray as well) then undo 4 screws. one in each corner. these tend to be stupidly tight for some reason.then the whole framework will come out, it's a big lump. careful not to scratch the trim in front of the gear stick when you slide it out, its quite tight. then youll see how the stereo holds in

    old one has already been removed. when i got it it was a bunch of wires

    how does the new one hold in?

    yup its in

    the black surroud bit doesnt sit fully flush but at least its bolted down to something solid
