    Competition time :-)

Im running out of ideas for cheapy but goody bits you lot might want. Er......, ah feck it, alloy filler cap again

Righty ho then. As some of you may know Ive bought a Rover runabout to rag about in until I get the Cossy sorted. What I want to know is how mant miles is the Rover showing on the odometer? The closest guess wins.

    Some info for you:

    Its a 1991 J reg
    220 GTI
    3 owners from new
    FSH

    And some clues:

Theres very little wear on the drivers boulster.

The engine original and failry quiet but has one very slightly noisy follower. Its bairly audible.

Theres a knackered bearing on the front end somewhere, not sure if its g/box or just a wheel bearing.

It went straight through its mot.

Part of the exhaust has just been replaced.

I dont know if the above will be of help of not but it should give some pointers

    Ok, let the guessing begin

63521 - as I've guessed right straight off seems unfair to keep everyone else guessing.

First class post will do nicely

    I wish.....

Try Forte engine flush for the noisy follower, Rover dealers recommend it and it works really well on the M16, T16 2.0 Rover engines.....I've heard the differemce with my own ears

I think the engine must have been flushed with each oil change as I changed the oil when I got it (Mobil 1 15-50) and have done a couple of thousand very hard miles and its still golden

Ill try it again come next oil change time though

    Steve,

Just tried Silverline again about your wheels. The guy I need to speak to isnt there He wont be there until Monday so Ill try again then.

Their customer service sucks big time. Do you know what they said top me when they told me theyd ordered a set of S14 wheels and I told them that the fax specified that they were for an S13? "well my lads arent going to know that are they?"

Really cr@p attitude towards people who are spending hundreds of pounds with them

    Phil,

I think Ill just swap the box with the black one Im swapping for old stock

As for the Remus stuff, I might be interested. Who do I need to speak to for the details?
