A Hybrid what? Turbo, IC etc....
Intercooler
Remember last time you asked, I said to speak to jibber?
Also, isn't there one of the Dan's that has done it. The student one? Mind, that'd be the one that ain't around for a few months, so that idea's a bust..
Speak to jibber, I know he's done his.
I cant remember my ass from my elbow, never mind who you said to ask last time
Just cut the center support on the bumper bar off. No other cutting is required (apart from hole in battery tray)Originally Posted by bren
How low does the cooler sit?
I bent my lower brackets so that the intercooler sits tight under the bumper support,it sits above the lower splitter perfectly no chance of curb damage on forward parking. The throttle body pipe was a bit of a squeeze but if you sit the pipe ontop of the braket supporting the bottle it also helps support the weight of the intercooler.I only had to trim a 10mm square out of the head lights.I hope thats some help.
how much are your vented carbon bonnets?
I cant post prices in here but Ive posted a reply in our section:

Mine was the same as Ste above, tight against the bumper support. The bottom of the cooler was just below the undertray, an inch or so above the splitterOriginally Posted by bren
Gary fitted mine - give him a bell.
Bren much the same for me fits no problems, my car is pretty low now sat on the D2's and the bottom of the IC is about 4" from the ground so plenty of clearance. i fitted a veilside front so there was no messing about with cutting the bumper. The only cutting was the battery tray. One slight problem i found my hose from cold pipe to plenum was too short so i cut the standard rubber one to fit, as everywhere i have been offers a standard sort of length of silicon hose, anything larger and you need to start buying by the meter but thats no big deal will buy a nice blue piece when i have some spare pennies
LOL, if I had seen this yesterday I could have taken some pictures of mine before I put it back together
As they say, only had to remove the bumper stay so the intercooler could fit, top height pretty much equal to the bonnet release.
Slight bend in the bottom mounts, so the intercooler then sits at an angle, with the top further out.
Nothing else needed cutting, had no undertray to mess with. Removed fog lights.
Oh, and waterbottle mounts on outside bolt, the inner bolt is secured by two heavy duty cable ties.
All I need to do now is get some large threaded bars to bolt down my battery, and leave the next one to someone else.
Cheers guys
