Ive got plenty of -31s in stock at £65 plus carriage if theyre any good to anyone?

The HKS actuators are £88 a piece which is ok but HKS take the p1ss on carriage, £11.75!!

If a couple of you want these actuators then Ill order six of them so I can get the batch sent to me and then get the postage for you guys down to a fiver a time

Are they adjustable?? between what pressures?? And is the HKS any different, or are they just charging the extra for the the three little letters??
If the -31's are adjustable, then Ill have one I reckon

    Hotrod,

Ok mate, just need one more and Ill get a batch ordered

    docwra,

They are adjustable one and Ive got one on my Cossy They are designed to run upto 15psi ish but if you can wind them all the way upto 30psi!

I dont know if the HKS ones are different but Id imagine they are. I cant gaurentee the -31 will go straight on as I dont know. I just know that some people fit them to 200s

Sounding good tho mate - Id like to know if they do go straight on, coz if they do Ill have one
Failing that, I reckon Ill take the HKS item
Ill scurry off and put a post in the technical section to see if they do - sit tight mate

The boost upgrade I bought from ND had a -31 actuator, I believe it was a forge motorsport item as I'm pretty sure their dump valves are, if not very similar. The -31 should have a straight turnbuckle. It's not hard wo fit, all you have to do is take of the original one, I believe it has two mounts, and the new one has two bolts coming out of the top of it. You drill away the spot welds on the mount from the original actuator, then if enlarge those holes to fit the bolts on the new one. You then tighten the nuts to fix the new actuator to the original mount and bolt that back in place. The turbuckle attaches with a single e-clip which is not very hard but fiddly and annoying. The end of the turnbuckle is threaded with a locking bolt to adjust the boost, it's pretty much a case of experimenting to get the desired level. Have fun

Forge dont make the -31. The -31 is a Garrett actuator and its name comes from its part number, 430099-0031.

If youve got a Forge actuator then it aint a -31, its a completely different product

    Hi Bren,
possibly, what are they like? would prefer twin tailpipes, not too loud or boomy, (work odd hours, neighbours are to55ers! grassed me up to the fuzz becaise of the noise of my Saab at 3am ), and not too bulky.
I liked the look of the janspeed (currently patched with putty, exhaust bandage, 2 stella cans and jubilee clips!!!!), might even have to buy a mild steel one 'cause I'm skint! spent all my cash on buying the car, knew the exhaust was on the way out but didn't expect it to go so soon (although it might have something to do with 140mph on the M6 on the way back from collecting it!)
    Do I get another Janspeed?
    Cheers mate

    Hotrdo,

Youll have a problem getting a Janspeed mate, theyve gone bust!!

Do you mean youd prefer two back boxes or a twin exit box?

The Mongoose systems are ok for what they cost. They arent the best quality in the world but then they are half the price of HKS etc.

They arent over loud and shouldnt annoy people too much

I couldnt say mate. My Cossy uses a -31 thats holding 16psi (plus an extra 8 that the amal valve bleeds off) with no problems and I know of people who have run upto 32psi on a -31 with Cossys.

But then people on here complain that a -31 cant hold boost on a 200???
