Cos there is! For example you couldn't use this discs on a train for example which run discs about 600mm in diameter!!!

I know you can put the discs further from the centre with a bracket, but again, there must be a limiting diamter coz of the caliper size.

I would imaging you could use 330 or 352 (or whatever the next size up is from 330mm).

My Brembo's are more than happy with the Bell/Rotors I threw at them.

Whilst on the subject of braking, I need new rear disks, what would you guys recommend. Everyone says stay with nissan cos the rear brakes do feck all. But nissan are normally very pricey.

Ideally, I would like some combi rears, call me a max power ponce if you must......

You can use them on whatever size rotors you want. Whats the limiting factor? You could fit them onto train discs, 600mm or not, it makes no difference. I dont imagine theyd work very well but theyd fit.

What makes the caliper size a limiting factor?

There is a limiting factor. The Willwood stand at the Autosport show had different calipers for different sized discs.

The larger the disc, the less it is able to fit inside the caliper, so the pad would only partially be on the disc. To take it to extremes, if the disc was 1KM diameter a short length of the circumference would be much flatter than a disc of 280mm, and therefore would not be able to fit inside the caliper.

Mmmm, yah I can see that, sort of. The calipers arent curved but will have a limit as to the size of the rotor due to the flatenning of the the curve of the edge as the rotor gets bigger. I suppose they can only physically accomodate rotors of a given curvature.

This caliper model has been fitted to Cossys with 330 rotors so I can safely say you can go to that size with no problems
