Bit busy at the moment, so through the site would be ideal for me, but if you get stuck, give us a call.

I could use some oil advice.
Car: Suzuki Baleno Wagon GLX 1.6 4wd
Milage: 240000 kilometres
The manual strongly recomends: 10W-30. Ahead of 5W-30 or 10W-40??
Should i prefer 5W-30 to 10W-40?
Quality 10W-30 is not a common grade in Norway. You can get Biltema (Scandinavian Halfords) mineral 10W-30.
Any advice
I'd go for a 5w-40. It will give better cold start protection than a 10w oil and a 40 is fine, that's what our databases recommend as well. I wouldn't use a 10w-30 mineral oil, it's a pretty basic choice, the sort of thing usually used in tractors.

Hi, What colour is Fuchs titan race pro s 5w 40? I have just done an oil change using this oil and it was golden brown. I thought it used to be purple/red?
Hi
The 5w-40 is a golden brown colour, the 10w-50 is the red/purple one.

Hi Opie guys. I've got a Nissan silvia s15 spec r turbo, I've done 4.5k on some Fuchs Titan 5w40 semi which I bought from you. No problems atall!
The thing is I have a friend with 5 litres of halfords 5w50 fully synthetic motorsport oil which he doesn't need (so free), I was wandering if it's any good? It's apparently rebranded comma and that's just rebranded esso! I didn't even know they make oil.
Thanks
Sam
Hi Sam
It's a pretty basic oil, it wouldn't be my choice, but should be okay if the car isn't getting any really hard use. Fuchs 5w-40 is a better quality oil.

Hi Sam
The Gulf or Pro S are on a par and either of them is a good choice.

The Super 3000 is a mineral based synthetic, a mineral oil that is so far modified from the state it's in when it came out of the ground that it's legally sold as a synthetic in many countries.

The one that is called Full Synthetic is also a modified mineral oil, both oils are the same.

Car's currently on 91k miles and heavily modified to 400bhp (info in my sig). Car's isn't used that much on the road, occasional weekend use but will hopefully see the track 6+ times a year. I'm using Millers 10w 50 (from you) but was thinking of using 10w 60 next time as it's a little thicker. What would your advice be?
I'd still go for the Millers 10w-50, I can't see a need to go for 10w-60.

Hi
If it's on road, go for the 5w-40, especially with winter coming.

What you recommend for the CA18DET S13 which has been sitting for the past 6years?
What should I put in once I have done the timing the belt etc it will be road worthy eventually.
Thanks
