Aah perfect.
Does anyone know - does the IBC serve as a boost gauge too? For example, if I'm driving along and on boost should this reading show on the IBC?
Thanks.

Hi All,
I've just fitted a Gizzmo IBC but I'm not sure what to do with the original boost solenoid. Do I leave it plugged in? Or should I disconnect it completely, including electrical...
I got a feeling they are made by Rays.
I've done the centres a custom metallic copper and will be doing the dishes cut with a slight smoke lacquer.
I'll post some pics up when they're ready!!
...
Mmm probably right. I thought they may have been fitted to an R32. Anyways - I've redone the centres, just cutting the dish now...

Ok so pure luck, I got hold of these split rims -
Cerumo C39 17" forged 2 piece split rims.
Question is, which car are they off originally?
...
Yep, have since found lots of threads with this issue.
IMO best thing is to remove the mani/turbo/elbow all in one section. I reckon I could do it fairly quickly now lol.
I just wished I had...
iirc I had to buy an ISO adapter for mine to actually fit to any modern standard stereo.
After a couple of hours of wrestling with this, I figured out the best way is to remove the manifold and turbo and elbow as one unit.
Remove mani from head, disconnect downpipe, disconnect the...
Ok so after sorting the exhaust I now discover 2 of the 4 studs are sheared. They will need drilling out.
Is it best to remove mani with turbo and elbow? Is that the easiest way?
Any ideas? ...
Yep - done to death.
My conclusion is get a custom one made. A downpipe with fexi plus a decat will cost you around £180 from Apex Performance. For a bit more you can get it custom made and...
Right so after we overcame the issue of S14's not showing on their drop down list, I managed to get my oil, filter, and plugs.
Compared to Apex Performance -
Plugs around 40% cheaper (same...
Thanks, I'll give Opie a call. Just a shame that some retailers don't make it easy to buy from them. Should be more like euro car parts. lol.
If you do a search I'm sure will find some info.
Apparently Ford KA sills are not a bad fit.
Ok so ordered Motul 5w40, oil filter and grade 7 plugs from Apex, then sat back and planned my weekend.
Only to be told that they don't sell oil any more (which I had funnily enough just purchased...
Looks good!
Ok from what I can see, people don't like plumbing in the FCD wires as it could cause engine to run lean at high boost.
Just trying to plumb mine in. Mechanical side I've figured out, just not sure where to put the WHITE (FCD out) and YELLOW (FCD in) wires.
The manual says sensor side and ecu side of map sensor. ...
Hey, welcome.
You seem to have covered off the basics. Mechanically these cars are pretty much bullet proof (if you leave them alone, LOL).
Chassis wise, I've found the biggest problem to be...
Cool. Just couldn't understand why the original is welded up. Must be a reason for it.
bump
Hi, bought one of these off the forum but now notice that pipe is welded where normally there should be a nipple for the vacuum off the solenoid to go into.
Anyone any ideas why? Not sure where to...
Apologies let me clarify... Yes can be done as a DIDO process, I was really thinking of time. I don't think it can be done in a day, normally takes a couple of days. maybe there are people out there...
A drive in drive out process wouldn't be powder coating...probably normal wet paint.
I'd go for the Powder coating at £20 a pop. I cure my powder coats at anywhere between 180-195 Deg so I'd say...
£20 to powder coat one wheel? Bargain if you ask me. Accept that quality may not be great but when you consider the process, it's not bad.
Normal process would be remove tyres, chemical strip,...
I've been refurbing wheels for a while now...
Up until a few years ago, most wheels used to be wet painted and lacquered. More recently, manufacturers have started to powder coat. Powder coating...
