Hmm, just need to persuade the girlfriend this is what she wants to do on a Sunday really :rolleyes:
My s14 project is pretty much finished but I haven't had a chance to tidy up the last couple of bits (see post in sale section).
Can anyone recommend somewhere near to Bournemouth where I can get a...
Recent SSQVs don't have an adjusting screw like they used to.
Can you describe the noise the valve makes? Got mine recently and it only makes a loud but boring 'squeek'...
:p :p
You don't need to move the battery -there's room to put the hole just behind the tray (under the fuse box and just above the box section structural member).
Jubilee clips are always a bit crap...
Yeah cheers to Ian for using a really camp photo :rolleyes:
And I reckon he rubbed some dirt on his hands deliberately :p
Bumper needed cutting to move the N/S foglight forward, and a little...
Uprated head studs/bolts are supposed to make it more difficult for the head to lift with the higher forces. ARP seem to be the rband of choice in the US.
Neither the block or head HAVE to be...
Nope, no kinks and I can blow through it easily.
Got it from Greenline, so should be the real deal:

Yeah sorry: SSQV. An MR2 owner told me the later ones don't have adjustment screws?
Just been out and checked that the vac hose connection isn't blocked, so no help there.
All I've done is replaced a Bailey EVO with the HKS DV -pipe from the bottom to the intercooler outlet, vac hose from the top to the same connection as before on the throttle body. I've also used the...
Me like that one :D. But Swindon/Salisbury/Bath also cool, pref really close to xmas eve when I'll be on my way to Swindon anyway :)
Right, relay etc has turned up. One more question: where did you take the perm 12v from? Presumably the central locking box has one...
Ah well I know the mirrors work. I put them on the car, checked they folded and ran some wires through to the centre console over a year ago... and then got distracted by more pressing issues :)

Put 12V across and see if it clicks sort of thing?
:thumbs:
Now if it'll just survive my wiring 'skills'...
Cost me about 1.5k, but it was a frame so he didn't have to remove anything before prep.
That's a basic pearlescent though. Not sure what you mean by 'two tone', but material costs really soar...
Thankyou. Also, I don't know what makes a realy Hella 'compatible', but presumably this one will do the job:

Managed to pick one up with what appears to be the correct number (G8D 65U-E), but one of the wire colours is different. I have:
Blue/red;
Blue/white;
Blue/yellow;
Black (with occasional red...
That makes sense :nod: Don't fancy using foil though. I've seen braided metal shething being used for industrial purposes (i.e. it's right expensive). Someone must do some for DIY?
For reasons I don't understand I think it's best to shield the signal cable ratehr than the source of the interference. Why it makes any difference I haven't a clue :confused:
It's a lot more convenient to run it that way. Any idea what I could use as insulation?
If I run the cabling from the battery in the boot along the same route as the audio wiring (i.e. down the O/S of the floor pan), will it interfere with the audio signal in some way?
Me and Slipstream Ian in Weymouth :nod:
Strangely, induction leak type behaviour occurs, but only after I've been driving for an hour -i.e. not just when the engine is proper hot.
I've bunged up turbo outlet to throttle, and it'll hold...
