Yes old oil has a shelf life as said condensation etc gets in it but its actually unhealthy top change your oil to regularly too. The carbon that build up in your engine and this turns your oil black...

I am going down to the unit later on, yeah its an s14a. I have a lot of loom in boxes but i do have some stuck in the engine bay i will check for a blue plug to see if i have the engine loom then?

The biggest difference will be in torque... but imo you buy a diesel for economy and the D4 smashes the D5 in economy!
