when you say a take off angle in what way, do you mean its difficult to cut the manifold and weld in the wastgate flange in a nice vertical angle, or more so is there a particualy angle the wastgate...
Im looking to run an external wastegate on a stock manifold in order to help with the boost creep experianced on gt2871r's.
Has anybody on here done it before, Ive never ran an external wastegate...

sussed it.. was one of the relays right up near the ecu (not fuel pump) eccs maybe , either way, swapped it out and its fixed
Ok car runs drives fine.. but ive noticed when flicking key to ignition on the fuel pump constantly stays switched on even without starting engine..
as opposed to the usual few seconds and then...

nope, first we used a povety spec gun.. (no way to offset), so timed to 15° on the crank.

Sorry that was a typo, timed via gun to 15 deg, 1 from right ( highlighted white). Yea I made sure it was bang on 12 o'clock, but I'll have a go, probably won't have chance until next week though.
its a 150k , and the timings not clocked all the way clockwise.. but certainly not central so i think im just gona roll with it how it is. maybe due to engine mileage the chains have stretched?,...
no1 cylinder, on a ht lead, used 2 diff timing guns same results.

Top cams, facing ouwards, 10 links counting backwards , exhaust at 12 oclock...
yep 100% tdc on the crank, had the cas in and out about 8 times now, everything lined up exactly, tried to take any slack out the chain etc..
still not centred when timed to 15°, however sat...

Ill be fitted the s14 loom onto an s14a, so it wil be using the non nats ecu etc
Im aware its a diffrent ecu plug, thats the whole reason i plan to swap the loom, the cars being built/ dash loom/engine out so its an ideal time to lip the looms if theres not to much to change...
Ok heres the score, i have an s14a car.. but i have a stage 2a s14 ecu kicking about.
How much effort is it to swap the s14a wiring loom out for an s14 loom, I know the maf sensor is diffrent...
cool, this is a ropey drift car, i just didnt want to loose my speedo mainly, ill try remove the abs sensor carefull and hopefull somebody else can make sure if it as abs has been removed.

any chance of a photo of these s14 lines fitting the skyline calipers, did you have to use a shorter banjo bolt ?, think a photo would be good, if not purely for archive purposes.
