A couple of points to add...

Don't rev the nads off it. Full throttle blasts are just that, full throttle - not full revs or power or whatever. A G Bell says you should floor it at the lowest revs...

My red-top will start the car after a couple of months, no problem, and it's been dead flat a couple of times too. Admitedly, that's with no alarm or stereo, just the car clock...

They need to be dished if you keep the original bushes, or at least they do if you don't want to lock the subby solid... and there's a limit to how many washers you can fit as the studs aren't that...

40mm inner dia (tapering to about 35mm)

15mm effective depth (approx) between the two working...
