Sounds like a reset is the answer. Connect it to the PC Suite software, backup all setting, pics, vids, etc. Open software updater, and reflash with the latest. Very easy to do, and doesn't take...
last time mine acted weird i backed up my stuff than done a reset. What you could also do at the same time is reflash it with the lastest software

I think with the VAT etc it works out at nearly £700 from memory. But if built right should last a long time. Nothing should need replacing for 70,000 miles when the belt is due again

When I did my last one I used these:
Genuine complete gasket set including head gasket & sump sealant
Genuine oil pump
Genuine oil filter & drain plug washer
Big ends
Main ends
Head bolts...
If there is fluid leaking out the boot, the rack seal has gone. You could possibly get a replacement seal, but just as easy/cheap to replace the whole thing.

The management system on these isn't very special at all. Conventional throttle cable. So it's all running OK than stalls. Starts up...

Could probably run with the single MAF sensor if it was after the turbo, before the intercooler
