A check valve is installed in the cylinder block of the ca18det. This valve is a part of the oil lubrication system and is easily neglected when the motor is refurbished.

Is the allen screw still in place?
If so, tighten or remove and refit with loctite.
If not, refit.

I bought this package and it is truly excellent. It could have had a larger tank and a larger pump motor...but...that would demand 400V.
It was sold with a large discount and came with a good tool...
Use a filter with an integrated valve and you are ok to go.

Rubber inside car is a big nono. Rubber let the petrol fume penetrate the material.
