I used a Bosch battery. Was decent enough. Went flat if that car didn't move in three weeks or so but it was my daily so wasn't to fussed about that

Jez chips. U have most of the mods he stipulates for his set upgrade. Worth a look and a lot cheaper than the prices u have mentioned. Maybe worth a look mate

Lights and blowers changing are just due to revs dropping so alternator not putting out enough power for them to run.

Could also be that mate. Nice easy job to rule out. Take it off and clean with either brake or carb cleaner

Cause it sounds like u may have an air leak. Have u checked all boost pipes for security etc? No holes in your FMIC? Yeah my front arches were starting to look a bury ropey when I opened the bonnet...

Naw mate sold it a few months back. Needed some welding and didn't have the time or patience to get it done. Did u use new gaskets and locking tabs for turbo nuts when u fitted the new manifold?

If u don't have much to spend why not look for a second hand one to swap in. Then u can buy some goodies for your old one little bit at a time to upgrade the internals?
