Previously car fine but recently taking a bit longer to start, this morning took a good 5 minutes of trying, resting, coming back to it... Once its going seems...
Mine did that last year - took it apart, cleaned it - not done since!

I was getting small amounts pooling where the injectors sit in the inlet plenum - needed new o-rings, not hard job!
Thanks guys - think you're right, need to get bolts off - will set about it with an angle grinder, and when I fail at that take it to an exhaust centre :-) Cheers!
:cry: just got a replacement exhaust and sadly bolts to turbo elbow are seized, and seems to be a pre-facelift elbow - no lambda...
Car is a facelift auto, pretty much standard except cone filter...

Yes sorry cam caps - was using a torque wrench too so didn't give them very much at all... as per manual. I think the bolts are shot - rusty at the point of the break not clean so don't know if...

Is there any way of telling what damage has been done without taking head off again?? If it does have to come off will I need a new head gasket or can i reuse the current week-old one...

Really? Just replaced with reconned head - everything seemed ok... You think another head gasket could have gone?
Just replaced head on car and was running briefly... :cry:
For a while had been running strangely when warm, kept missing on idle and shaking. Then overheated and replaced cylinder head. Ran again...
Given up for the day - rain has beaten me! Will check tomorrow - would be suprised if it is different, will attempt to bodge it...
