Indeed but you're thinking that the energy is lost once you've put it into the mass. It's not. It is merely converted into kinetic energy and 'stored' in this rotating mass, should a force attempt to...
Not really, rotational mass mostly effects engine acceleration, and not losses through transmission, momentum just means it holds on to that energy, it doesn't consume it.
Different compound...
Again this figure can also have different readings depending on gear, tyre pressures, tyre temp, slicks, blah blah blah
There is NO definitive answer if you're looking for one.
Dyno's are a...
Ah the good old dyno debate :P
Percentages don't work for losses as it depends what gear you do a run in.
For example, if I do a run in 3rd gear the car will reach a vMax of 90mph, and makes...
I've had a few of them now.
Good fun little cars, you'll probably get 30mpg tbh... All of mine always did 30mpg no matter what....
And they do always make more than 120bhp. Normally about...
anyone locally got a s13 lying around??
i need a few parts for mine if anyone can help.
gear surround stuff
wheel arch lining
resevoir tank + hose
windscreen wiper
etc etc
i've had that on the rollers already :) can't remember what it made, but pretty sure the diddy little turbo is flat out :D
There actually is a prototype that was designed to run on water as well as petrol...
It's a 6 stroke engine and has 2 additional strokes where water is compressed and the intense heat and pressure...
Yes they are merely standard relays. Just look for a relay with the same plug configuration, it'll work. Any electrical supplier will have them, or possibly motor factor.

Edited the link
Finally got it finished and run in.
Waiting for the powerfc to go on, and setting up the boost controller. On a test run only revving to 6600ish rpm it made:
Maximum Power - Wheels - 378.0 bhp...
Aye, it's not hard. Just block off ur AFM with a plate of some sort, then hook the whole lot to a compressor some how. The breather connection to the inlet hose is the normally used point iirc....
You can still make boost with an air leak, definitely what i'd check first with any fueling issue.
Before and after the turbo.
Some more stuff from PMs that people might find useful, just when trying to sort the injection and ignition power problems.
Z32 Gearbox has been shoehorned a few times on the board.
Do a search, i'm sure there'll be a guide somewhere.
As Pete says the tacho can be sorted with a 10k ohm resistor and turning a screw in the unit. Easy.
The starter motor and alternator are easy too. They just need tapping into the existing loom...
hard day at the office then!!!
if you about later come over for some more drinks!!
I've done a few PMs now to ppl explaining the mentality of getting the wiring done on this conversion. Thought i'd paste it here so ppl can look without PMing me first:
There's 2 areas you need to...
Crankshaft bolt on an RB26.
Apparently reknowned for being rather tight. Put the car in gear, a lot of extensions, and the handbrake on as hard as it would go, it still turned the rear disks, no...
