I know. I'm currently on the lookout for a hdi, preferably estate, to replace my daily runner which is a mk2 106xnd.
1.9 td is a nice solid motor but it's successor, the 90BHP 2.0 HDi gives far better mpg figures, and more throttle response.
You've made very good progress as last time I checked you were rebuilding the CA. I should also be dropping a RB20 into my s13 soon soon. Get some vids of the motor running.
