I'll pop online same time in another 3 years or so. ;)
On Saturday my 3 and a bit year 200 ownership came to an end courtesy of some nice Latvians and a wad of cash.
It's a bit yay as I really need the money but a bit nay as I did like the 200.

Erm I had a look today and finally noticed a hose that looked secure but blatantly wasn't after I nudged it a bit...
Got this back on and unsurprisingly it seems to be working fine again. I won't...
I wondered about the fuel line thing, I'll have to investigate. With the AFM out the engine seems to run quite smoothly from a fuelling point of view but it still doesn't have enough power to drive...
Arse. It appears to not be the AFM, managed to borrow one and the symptoms are the same as soon as it's connected.
I appreciate everyone's input so far, any more for any more?
Fu**ing cars. :)
Ah I didn't suspect the AFM once it had been cleaned but that makes sense. I should be able to borrow one for a test.
The engine sounds absolutely fine without the fuel pump fuse in so I'm...
Sorry for the self-bump again but I just did the ECU diagnostic check and it seems to think that all is well. Any ideas would be really appreciated.
I've replaced the plugs and cleaned the AFM but it's back to the original problem of lumpily idling at about 200-300 revs.
However, as I thought it could be flooded I did the fuel pump fuse thang...
Cheers Jase.
I'll double check the AFM, forgot to count its pins when fiddling with it. I may well take you up on the borrowage.
Just had a bit of a play. Took out the spark plugs and noticed they were a bit charcoaly so cleaned them up and put them back in. It made a more promising start but was still very lumpy and...
HSS has been bypassed for a while.
Sorry but I'm not sure how I'd check for a boost leak with it at the moment, I'm not the best when it comes to mechanical stuff. :) There was no obvious drop in...
Acocks Green, near the station. B27 6EA.
The battery's fine, or at least it is as far as I can tell, it's quite new.
There are a few other things to check but I lack in mechanical skillz at...
I know I haven't exactly been active as far as doing anything SXOC for the last year or so but that's not going to stop me at least asking for help. :)
...
Thanks for the reply, just tried this and loads of fuel came through, it's a Walbro pump and it would appear to be doing its stuff fine.
Can anyone recommend things to test?
I'd appreciate a bit of guidance with the following problem if you'd be so kind.
I was driving the hopefully soon to be sold car at about 50, accelerating in 4th I think it was and suddenly it was...
Cheers for the organising.

Hello everyone!
Er, if I still have a say in these matters the 17th sounds good to me. If not, Merry Christmas. :)
Not sure mate, does he have a small reg plate? I'm sure there was something about the front that wasn't normal...
You may think I blanked you but I did attempt to nod at some point... You may even be someone I know. :)
Anyway, black s14a in Acocks Green heading towards Olton, beeped me, that is all...
Cheers Stu, Andy, Paulo for hosting last night.
And a special mention for Stu who had a fight with an oil filter and just about won.
Yes. :D Me, me, me.
