the 12v ignition is red/blue wire if i remember back rightly when i done mine. don't use the ground wire i just grounded mine back to a bolt on the gearstick surround. if you have a multi meter handy...

is there enough charge in the battery. i mean is the engine cranking over quick enough? maybe try it with a boost pack jump lead? or like has been said maybe it's flooded now? pull the fuel pump fuse...

what wattage are the front indicator bulbs u should have 2 12v 5watt bulbs and 2 12v 21watt bulbs i suspect that u have 4 12v 5watt bulbs in there hence why it's flashing to fast not enough...
