Has anyone broken a gearbox (main shaft went on mine) from axle tramp?
I did a launch with (apparently too much) some axle tramp last weak and twisted the main shaft...
yeah - that's we gonna do.
I was just wondering if there are any drawbacks to using the CA18 gears?
Cuz one of the local guys say they are weaker. But a search on here said they the same 'cept...
right - turns out i snapped the main shaft :(
And now i'm going to cheap it, and stick the internals of the CA18 box in my SR20 bellhousing.
Has anyone done this before? Pros/Cons ?

it seems there's some differences in opinion over the contents of the CA18 box vs the SR20 box.
And it looks like the CA18 is weaker too?
is it a direct fit? or are there lots of nigglies?

So my car is finally running on highboost - 244kw and 413nm ATW :D
Off i go to the regular drag meeting last night to go see what...
i don't have a expansion tank either, cuz we got a CDA sitting where it used to be...
I do have a nismo thermostat tho - so my cars temp gauge typically reads like 1/4 instead of 1/2 of the sweep....
mine does this exact same thing ie. peddle down = no noise, peddle up in neutral (or any gear) and there's a noise.
It got a bit less when we put redline in, but it's still there :(

basically i got all the right groceries. And am running a perfectpower XMS with MAP sensor - the MAFS went out the window :) well the bonnet for that matter ;)...
mine was wound all the way out and i was only getting 4psi...
i know that conti sport contact IIs are the same 'softness' as eagle F1 - and they are very soft aren't they?
so maybe those are 2 more options
aah - i gotcha, just for the record - i think it looks hawt to check the lip on a nice WIDE rim (plus it helps for dorifto!)
