    Just to say that I agree it's prolly exhaust to manifold or tubby to downpipe gasket on the way out - both sound tractor like.

    Don't buy a cheap tubby/down pipe gasket - make sure you get a all metal sealed one ~£15 from Nissan (AutoJap may be fine but not sure) Other ones burn out pretty pronto.

    If DIY then buy decent...

    Can do a simple check the on the CAS - mark it up - remove - turn ign on - turn CAS shaft steadily - look for regular sparks on a plug and hear the injectors clicking nicely without the mota running....
