So!
With Covid throwing a spanner in getting things done down at the unit for now, I best update where we are currently.
I wasn't happy with the finish on the stub axles, without a blast...
So without planning this ahead :smash: I've got some PTFE braided (-8 and -6) hose for use as fuel lines on my s14.
If anyone else is using these, how have they connect the hose to the fuel top...
How are you planning on mounting the fuesbox itself?
I've got the tedious part of pulling the headlight wiring back and extending where needed etc
Trying to come up with a way to mount the...
Yeah exactly that :) I queried it before ordering mine, they checked the part code with Hardrace and it matched up with the hub+bearing together, and that's what I received.
Could always confirm...
They are yeah - got them from JDM Garage, they're both part of the same assembly - the part with the studs and the bearing together (even though the picture shows just the flange part)
...
:D It's annoying the amount they've shot up in price since I first started this, should have pulled the trigger sooner, but hindsight.
The wait is killing me now haha! Should be with me in March...
Little more progress, but the big news is - I've finally brought an engine  :smitten: RB26 on it's way over from Japan through JDM Garage. Good miles and compression, along with it already being...
Steering rack is now sat in place with superpro bushes, and I've moved onto the diff. Split it down ready to clean up and paint, and to switch the core out with the Kaaz 2...
Good few months since I posted last, just been trying to arrange getting the car moved to another unit.
Progress has been all suspension fitted up, (albeit some with old rusty bolts just to get ot...
Really surprised how well they came out the be fair considering the state they were in before!
I hadn't realised how long I'd neglected this thread for! To be honest though not too much has happened over winter, it's been way too cold in the unit to have the motivation go do anything.
...
Yeah I have thought that. Didn't realise powerflex did a black series - maybe a lack of searching on my side :smash:
Not too much progress - where the car is stored it absolutely freezing if I'm there any longer than an hour or so, so not had much time on it recently!
I have however got the subframes powder...
Yeah I'm not putting the passenger airbag back in. It's going to have some sort of bucket seat and harness setup, so the passenger airbag will really be superfluous. Taking the fuse box contents out...
With the tubs, the fusebox won't fit where it used to - and I don't think I'd want it in the bay now anyway!
The best place seems to be behind the dash around the passenger airbag area. After...
Finally after 2 years since it was stripped, there's parts starting to go back on!
Started up fitting behind the dash. Started with the heater unit, won't be running aircon, (it'd be a squeeze...
Yeah if I put the whole loom back, and fix that badly joined wire it'll work. But that wire is joining the dash and drivers looms together, which it shouldn't do? So I'm just after knowing where they...
Just found a link - will check through thanks!

That'd make more sense. It certainly does look like an after thought!

Yeah it's the NATS box
Not after disabling it - after figuring the mess of wiring out! Haha. But yeah, I see a wiring diagram being hard to come by :(

Hello!
I've started the long job of building up my resto project s14 from a bare shell.
Looking at the wiring loom, there's a few wires spliced in that can't be OEM - they're joining the front...
Okay so update time!
It's been a long time since the last update, but we got the car back, unfortunately it then had to go back go the bodyshop for some corrections.
Stress is over now...
Yeaah - the paint is over Gravitex underneath :-)
We're going to grab some pictures underneath when we pick the car up next weekend, getting it onto the rollover part of the jig is much easier...
And so, finally, the paint is finished!
Went to see it today, first time I've seen the car since it left Steve's, and it looks amazing! The colour is so good, the front wings Steve made are...
Cheers guys!!
Yeaah the fabrication that Steve did is amazing, Chris's paintwork tops it off! :D
