i've taken the gearbox out and discovered that the part of the box cover (the one that bearing carrier slides on) has snapped off. i'm not too sure how it affected operation of the clutch but this...
yeah all signs in the sky indicate clutch side of the issue. gbox removal is a must. will post up all my findings later on
the pedal felt alright, a bit hard on foot but that's due to twin plate clutch so i wasn't alerted. when the car warmed up shifting gears became harder but i thought i was caused by the air bubbles...
right, problem doesn't lay in the hydrolics as i pulled the release fork to the limit with a ratchet strap and tried to roll the car back and forth in 1 gear and reverse and that didn't work. the...
what was the outcome?
yes i can select gears with engine off. i hoped it could be just the clutch hydro but that seems to work fine although i'll check if pulling the release arm all the way back helps. probably not but...
as from yesterday i can't throw any gear in. after i chalked the engine in after a majour rebuild i struggled to get car in gears after a couple of minutes of driving. i thought it would have been...
right..i removed the 1wv and everything is back to normal, oil circulates in the cooler and it gets hot now.
i have mintex 1155's on stock calipers and 330mm discs on the front. i was going to get stock pads for the rear's as a chap from camskill where I bought mintex pads advised me but I have not made my...
hello. my car will soon be ready for the first track day most of the car is ready only few things i'm not too sure about. first thing would be the nuts, the ones i have now (i'd like to mention that...
i only have the mocal sandwich plate for the cooler i was never particularly botherd with the restricted acces to to the filter. i presume you're also using the thermostatic sandwich. i've read and...
20 psi idle to 50psi 5000 rpm is that right?
i think you may have a mechanical gauge mine is electrical with braided extension line that's connected to oil filter block, it's quite thin an may be restrictive enough to drop pressure at higher...
i checked it and re-checked it's facing the correct way and all lines are pressurized when engine is running. i will be removing the valve and see if it makes any difference. there is another thing...
that's exactly what i'm thinking. what's wrong with my setup then??? the accusump is connected to the return pipe from the cooler with 1 way valve before accusump t piece.
right if there was an airlock in the cooler it's gone now, i've checked it and the cooer is full of oil. still stays cold but i must be due to the thermostatic sandwich plate, it must be some what...
on it's side. can it actually happen? it's not a closed circuit.
yes it's right way round and seems to be flowing as well. temp sensor sits in the baffled oil pan so temps show rather low on gauge but it's normal for this place. the thing is i had this cooler...
hi folks. after fitting a mocal oil cooler and accusump + 1 way valve (after oil cooler) the cooler stays ice cold. i'm using a thermostatic sandwich plate. i'm sure there is a fair few people using...

this has been covered already i know but can't find the thread somewhat. well my rev counter needle was taken out once and had been showing wrong readings when put it back in by about 600 rpm lets...

hi mate thanks for you help. you rebuilt your engine yourself not that long ago If I remember right. could you write me whats your strategy if it...
no it's the same engine but new bearings, rings, seals, gaskets and studs.only has been re measure dand rebuilt to make sure it's in spec. reason i post this thread is that it contradicts the common...
