Hello mate.
A good quality boss should do your indicators for you, having said that, my NRG slimline unit doesn't, so it's usually worth asking others what brand they went for...
As for the...
Hello mate, thanks for responding.
I know, when it was offered to me I was hesitant. But when it was the manifold (which wouldn't be too hard to return to a T3 flange in the future if I wanted,)...
Hi folks.
Yesterday a top mount manifold and suitable elbow/downpipe was 'forced' upon me!
I know not to expect some huge power gains from this set up, its mainly for the noise haha. (It was...
Hi all,
Id like to see some snaps of how you've tubbed/cut your rear arches on S14/a's prior to fitting overfenders. Got this job to do at the weekend, and would like to see how far up you've...
Yep, carefully replaced. Wires seems fine too.
No joy with the arch loom either, that all seems fine.
One of the relays that lives behind the ECU now makes a slight buzz for a second when you...
CAS swapped. Still wont start :(
Going to have another look at the loom in the arch after a coffee, but if that doesnt throw anything up, Im all out of ideas..!
Balls. Hoping it wasn't that! I've got a spare CAS, I'll have a look at swapping that over on Friday then...
Right, update on this:
Still wont start.
Ive swapped the ignition amp, all four coilpacks, checked the relays behind the ECU, no progress.
Probing the coilpack loom with a multimeter,...
Thanks for your reply fella.
Fuses are fine, any blown ones were replaced. This isn't my first time repairing the loom I'm afraid!
Does sound like yours had different symptoms though. Hmmm...
Evening all.
For a few days my 98 S14a hasn't started.
I recently rubbed through a few wires in the wheel arch at a skid day, which have been repaired and relocated. Whilst down there, a mate...
Super cool!
Sweet jesus!
Just read the whole thread through. Outstanding. Truly outstanding attention to detail. Excellent work.
All sorted :) Turned out to be a little LED strip I was using to light up a switch panel. No idea how it was managing to pop that fuse, it was wired up to the plug with three wires that isn't plugged...
Thanks team, heading over to it now to have a look at resolving this.
16mm˛ bud.
Hi mate. Yep quite low, but having rubbed through most of it in September, its all been repaired and moved well out the way. Ive had a quick look at it anyway, but can't see much with the wheel on in...
Evening all.
Bit of fun and games with the car tonight :(
The 75amp fuse in the engine bay box, popped on me tonight. A few electrical parts still work, no lights or indicators ect, but the car...
Thanks for the reply Clive.
There's four ignition signal wires according to the pin out... :( Any idea which one, or best to go poking around with my multi meter?
Evening all, recently got a killswitch for the skid car.
As well as the main positive cable, I'd quite like it to kill the power to ECU as well (alternator should keep the car running if I just...
Cheers Aaron, if batteries don't work, that might be the excuse I needed to finally become a paid up member!
Ah really?
Best to stick in some more recharge-ables then? Non-rechargeables no good, I happened to buy some normal ones by accident the other day..!
Evening everyone.
So a few weeks ago, whilst drifting at Pod, I rubbed through a few wires in the loom (I didn't realise at the time).
On the way home I lost wipers and a few other minor...
I was in Halfords car park... wont have seen my 14a as is was 'down the bank' if you know what I mean...
Had a shiney back box, that's for sure!
Great stuff, love how this thing looks!
I too would like to know please? :D
Evening all.
So, I use my S14a for drifting. At the moment, it has S Tunes front and back.
A good friend of mine, has a pair of Tein Super Streets for the front, which he says I can have.
