Cheers mate, thanks
Top man! Thanks, will give it a try
Unless one of the lifters is faulty in some way and bleeding them isn't the answer. Stumped!
Many thanks for your reply Mike. Can i ask how sure you are of that? as from my limited experience it doesn't sound like most other VCT rattle videos ive heard on youtube but it did sound like one....
Hi all,
I was wondering if I could call apon your wisdom to help diagnose a strange sound. At first I though it was the hyro lifters, so I pulled them all out and rebleed them by submerging them...
Cheers mate
Cheers mate,
Im just comparing the 2 pads and the only difference off the bat is the toyota ones are slightly taller and 2 mm thicker than the db power ones.
So you just have stock oem toyota...
Top man, have you tried these on track? From the few articals ive found after seeing this info it seems they might hold up ok. Im running quite a bit more than stock power so I want something half...
Hi all,
Ive been having a look around and im sure my searching powers are weak but im trying to find out what brake pad options i have with regards to running stock calipers but with M3 discs and...
Plan! I'd be up for it.
Very kind of you kyle, ill bare that in mind. Thanks
I'm slowly learning about the s14a so good to know knowledgeable people for the odd question here and there.
I'm sure you'll get your...
Cool! Ive seen an s14a driving around Gloucester road a couple of times, looks stock but with some writing on the doors and Ive seen 2 parked up outside a house in Filton.

Yes I am. Is there many s14 owners in bristol? Be keen to know who's local for help or advice or to help out fellow s14 drivers if I can.
Thought i might have been spotted for a minute! but sadly not. You'll be glad to hear my s14a doesn't have any damage :)
Thanks for the reply. I'll stick some miles on it
Hi all,
Ive just put a new ACT HDSS clutch into my S14a along with a skimmed flywheel, new release bearing and new gearbox input shaft bearing. Took it up the road to test it out and clutch feels...
As you're selecting gears with the engine off, IMO it means the issue does not lie with the box. As when you clutch in and release the input shaft the box would be working as if the engine was off as...
I guess you'll have to remove the box and have a look. Any issues with the clutch pedal when the car was warmed up? Squeaking or become hard to press? If so those were my symptoms before the spring...
Many thanks mike! Just the info I wanted.
Or is there anyone thats local that could help with trying to re sync my new ecu? I think that might be the solution
Can you select all gears with the engine off?
If so I would say its clutch related. If not i would suggest the gearbox is faulty.
If clutch how does the pedal feel? The spring fell out my...
Hi all,
I've been searching and think ive found the problem to my eml flashing but need a hand to fix it.
I've changed my ecu from the stock one to a second hand unit with a HD stage 3a chip...
Good shout jonny. I'll check over the slave cylinder and sliding action of the clutch fork and hope that a clean/ rebuild might fix it.
All tho I don't need to 'pull' the clutch up. It comes up as it should only it's catchy and does what you discibe
