The alternator would be as sealed with a flat floor as it would be sitting in the engine...
Car needs to be able to charge its self, i have seen this work on other cars.
I have been running ideas through my head to get better balance and a clutter less engine bay.
One of which was mounting the alternator to the diff of prop shaft instead of the engine, obviously...
i am doing this but with standalone management. I will be using a msd coil, not sure if it will take signal from cam position sensor or off of the crank sensor.
Not sure i have seen anything for...
Also when i looked closer at the centre plug on the rail it seems you cannot use the centre of the rail due to the casting on the manifold. Will have to look at fixing that (dremel)
Thanks John
Al you do need a different fpr, it comes with either an-6 fittings or push on fittings.
Here is a link or 2

would do if i was buying new but bought this second hand so limited on choice.
Thanks John
i am hoping to use the cam trigger wheel to sort the coil.
Right i went ahead and bought from ebay, it is the Circuit Sports replacement fuel rail.
It comes with 2xAN-6 fittings on the end and a plug for the middle of the rail.
It can be bought for the...
What boost are you running? what spec is the car?
Not really bothered about plug and play, and to start the complexity and spec of the ecu isnt important wanna get it running.
Thanks John
Do you mean the same setup as the gotech? Did it run ok, have you got any details on how it was done?
Thanks John
Was hoping this to be true but i have this response from gotech
The engine originally runs with four individual coils. Two coils cannot be connected to one driver
Sent: Wednesday, August 18,...
would it run batch fire though? would it harm the engine??
apparently the sr20 runs batch fire at start up
thanks john
Well it says this
"Fuel injector Outputs:
The Gotech MFI Pro ecu offers three fuel injector outputs. These outputs are
negative switching and can drive twelve 12 ohm fuel injectors. The...
I have just (hastily) purchased a second hand Gotech MFI Pro ecu, this works by firing in batches 2 injectors and 2 coils etc. It does work with coil packs also.
Just wondering if this will work...
whats the chassis made of? T45?
thats light!!, what do you think the full weight will be??
what about the sensor, does the ecu pick up the signal ok or would i need to use the sr20det version?
Thanks John
got any more details on the rb20det throttle body conversion, had a bash on mine today and am confused how you did it as the throttle linkage goes the other way as in wire fed from below not above.
...
Yes your sig worked, lets see how much it will be!!
you should get the crank weighed now that you have knife edged, would be a good reference as i dont think many people will do it.
Cheers John
would the price for them plus 2 rail adapters i have asked for a price for be the same shipping costs?
Thanks John
The front water neck can you knock up a plate with a weld on AN-16 fitting or is that something i am better trying to get done here?
How much would it be to have the top 2 plates delivered with...
