just thought i`d add that i have had 2 of these engines before

the ports are there for emmissions and only full open when full throttle is used. they work by vacuum using the actuator/reg at the back of the engine/plenum.

depends how much boost your running. a bailey is loud for up to 15psi but not very good after as they can leak at higher boost.

for higher boost i`d say get a turbosmart megasonic. handles all...

the viscous is way better than electric. i`ve had both and the viscous is much better. the power loss is not noticeable i ran 340bhp on my s13 ca with no problems but you need that shroud!

just bought a laguna 1.9dci 120 bhp, 6 speed, half leather air con etc with 100k for £1,. realy nice car.

the valves are fine as long as the car is mapped or is running proprerly. when loads of boost is added without the fueling then thats when the problems start.
