When i pull away the rev counter drops to 0 rpm then dance around abit then sits back at normal revs. Its very weird anyone know what it is. cheers

is it just take apart buy new gasket and skim the head and re build it?

if it is leaking oil near the oil pump assembly is it an expensive foix or a quick and easy one

yea the oil is around the front of the engine. the fan belt has started squealing aswell if that has anything to do with it.

I recently discovered oil around the head gasket area and a splat of oil on my intercooler pipe. The car is still running alright and i havent lost any oil. Does anyone have any suggestions

I've just fitted same pump and my idle is higher aswell.

Found the problem one of the boost solenoid pipes had come off. Refitted it and car is running fine now.

I've checked it once. But if I had a leak wouldn't it affect the boost all the time and not just when I hit 4500rpm.
