Oh, they're something else when running double the factory output. I only use mine on the odd evening and weekends, you can't beat all four wheels spinning up in 2nd gear in the dry :D. I love it and...

[QUOTE=nash`s;6494957]hey adam, hows you. i know mate never thought id break it tbh but hey ho. couldn't turn this opportunity down mate.
yeah its a lovely shell mate. jim (guy you bought you're s15...
I'm a big fan of the V Evo's. I just rebuilt the engine in my VIII and they're a hugely tuneable engine. Mine is running around 550bhp now and you can't compare it to much else... It spins all four...
I haven't been on here for a while and you're breaking your car:eek:
That white shell does look rather awesome though. I'll have to pop on more often to see how this goes.
I've rebuilt the engine because it turns out there are a few issues with Wiseco forged pistons cracking on the skirts...
Got it up and running. Last week, I've run it in and had it mapped and it...
Looks pretty sweet, mate.
My car never used the engine as I didn't build it in the end. Scott Ingram bought it at a near £5k loss on my end because I lost all interest in the build.
My Evo is the car running 550bhp
Not a bigger turbo, yet :D. Ordered another set of cams to try out. It's got no traction in 2nd gear and it wheel spins through part of 3rd, it's pretty savage. I had to sort the appearance out too...
Yeah, got it all sorted and it was making around 550bhp. Got other issues now so it's off the road again waiting for parts :wack:. If its Silver, decked and on good fitting black wheels it'll be...
Saw your car parked up down Boston Manor Road last week while I was headed to my Aunts place to see the family, still looking good, Yann.
That looks awesome on the Rega's, Martin. I always wanted a set for my S15.
It's the wrong thread for it... But hence my input about the Evo inlet ports. Any kind of restriction in engine flow costs you power. Thanks for clarifying what I was trying to explain.
You do realise the carb is the biggest restriction on a Renault 5, hence they struggle hugely to make over 250bhp, and I'm not talking bullshit rolling road figures. 30 psi is just not needed on a 5...
You can run a lot of boost on an SR20, the throttle body and intake ports are just a huge restriction.
This is why Evo's can run so much boost pressure and still flow effortlessly...

The top head is a spare sr20 one I have and...
It's the ARP big end studs which need the crank cradle to be slightly modified for fitment. Head studs/bolts and rod studs are fine.
Yeah, I picked up an Evo 8 a couple of months ago, running about 500bhp. It's rediculous, mind you it was running 2.2 bar of boost :wack:. I've just rebuilt the turbo with a larger billet wheel and...
This does sound like the variable vanes are sticking, it can be very difficult to pick up in some cases though and you have to be experienced to know what you're looking for. The loss of power is...
Only just seen this. Looking good, Yann, not seen you around in a while.
I also like the 527's, I keep contemplating a set for the Evo.
This happened to my old S15. I took the car to Santa pod, I wasn't overly aggressive with getting the car off the line but I had huge difficulty getting the car onto 1st and reverse at standstill. A...
I put this on the S15OC last Saturday but forgot to post it here. Although it's kind of meaningless to most, I was genuinly sad to see the car go...

Jim, 5mm is new and I've read 2.5 is down to the metal plate, so 4.2 is fine.
Any pictures?
Just saw your RR results, Martin's mapping is always good afr wise, it was bang on with the S15 too.
I saw one of them on Saturday down Whitton High Street while in my S15, we gave eachother a flash and thumbs up. Seen that car a few times now, not sure who he is though.
A late update as I added this to the sale thread but fresh plugs and a new fuel filter were fitted ready for mapping a couple of weeks ago.
