id say you will be fine with the rubbish bolt at the top as long the back plate is stuck on with sealant.
I tend to just weld a bit of 1" box section between the mounts.
jack on the rear subframe mounts or towing eye. then on the front tie down points on the radiator support panel.
worst case you can just slosh some fuel tank sealer around inside you s13 tank. probably have to take it off the car to do it though which is a ball ache.
