I am interested in this group buy as well, but i need to ask a few questions first :)
What else would i need to install it to my car.
It says "bolt on to stock setup" in the first post, does that...
So i am renting a small place in folkestone but i am not a UK citizien.
A few friends of mine and me are going to buy some cars in the UK, will it be possible for all of us to get UK insurance for...
i am also using the gunson gauge, if you have calibrated it right and the car ist standing on a perfectly level surface, there is nothing mickey mouse about it.
I set up camber all round with this...
Since i wasted my exedy sports clutch after a stunning 500 miles at approx 320bhp i am looking into other clutch options.
Has anyone tried the carbonetic pro blade clutch?
Carbonetic claims it...
As far as i know you only need adjustable arms if you are lowering more than 35mm
I am running a Kyb AGX/Tein S Tech setup with adjustable arms (it was not necessary, i just wanted to).
Moneywise...
cheers folks, i'll go with 1.5 bar on the 2871.
I guess the next step would be to upgrade valves, valvesprings, lifters, cams, etc.
But i guess 1.5 bar will be exciting enough, at least for a...
I wonder how much boost is safe to run with a skimmed head, metal head gasket (1.1mm), ARP headbolts, rocker arm stoppers, stainless steel manifold.
I am considering 1.4 bar to be safe (HD Stage...
sounds like the #2 injector is stuck or clogged.
You might get away with just replacing it.
If that's not it i would remove the rocker cover and have a look at the inlet valves of #2, rocker arm...
You need at least Dexron II, 1 Litre is enough
Dexron is a classification, there is II, III, IV..
So you can use D II or III or IV
sounds good, sounds like just what i need :)
The H-Dev Chip lets the ecu use the maps on the chip instead of the factory maps, so i can't see any disadvantage in having the additional performance...
how did you like the emanage?
I just did a bit of digging and found the new emanage ultimate to be fairly cheap.
As for removing the chip, a piggy back just messes with the signals from the ecu,...
I know, that's why i am asking for suggestions to cheaply and easily add timing, pull fuel.
I am running Haltech Standalone on my Rallycross Car and AEM Standalone on my second S14.
I am arming...
A proper map would be the way to go, but since i am not running it all the time adding some degrees of timing at wot and pulling some fuel (meth is richening the mixture by about 1 afr at wot using...
What would be the easiest and cheapest way to add timing and modify fuelling when using an h-dev chip?
I assume nistune+h-dev chip won't work, so it would be some kind of piggy-back fuel/ign...
I installed driftworks front lower arms recently, after getting it all done and dropping the car on it's wheels i did a quick measurement for camber/tracking.
0 deg total toe - 0 deg camber, but...
gearstick wobble could easily be the transmission mount.
sounds like the pump is starting to seize or something is wrong with the belt.
i have kind of the reverse ones of the ones you posted:
http://revbeergoggles.com/balljoint1/ball-joint-tool.jpg
unfortunately this did not work out, there is no place to "hook" properly..
it...
Thanks, i tried that, it does not move, well it doesnt matter anymore, i just managed to snap the brake hardline..
I guess its brake upgrade time for me, im glad i still got the ol'beemer..
I am...
I am trying to remove the front lower arm, the ball joint does not want to come out of the knuckle.
I soaked it with plusgas, bashed it, pryed it, stood on it, it does not bodge.
The tension rod,...
i assume that the h-dev chips are mapped with a little safety margin.
It would, however, always be advisable to have some kind of additional safety.
A ks3/4 is cheaper than a rebuild, that's my...
Pressure test the boost hoses, it sounds just like a boost leak to me.
every eletronically controlled, filtered or processed knock detection system will miss a lot of light knocking, pinging and pre-ignition, even if it is a ks3/ks4 or similar product.
If you ever...
driftworks does some adjustable front lower arms, they will give you lots of camber :)
