Service manual say:
-Idle more than 0.78bar
-3000RPM 3.53bar - 4.12bar
I repair this with liquid gasket
it's separate, hard to remove with engine in car
-remove fuel fuse and try to start engine (if it start then wait until this stop)
-remove coil transistor connector (on front of exhaust manifold)
-remove coils and spark plugs
-do compression...
I remove this 2 times:
-with glue and a bar then hammer and get out.
-with pressure pliers and hammer
Remember to put bearing for manual gearbox
I use sikolene (fuchs) pro-s 10w50
In this engine I have never heard this kind of problem in the oil cooler. Anyway you can temporarily override to check that it is not the problem. Remove the cooling hoses and make a bridge if oil...
1/4 in 1cm of tail is relatively unrestrictive. Think paint compressors also use 1/4 and need >300lpm@2bar flow.
