Hi all,
My name is Rich, from Southampton.
I used to be a regular member on here about 10 years ago.
I have owned a S15 Spec R and 3 S13s in my time.
The last 5 years I have not been on here as I...
Thanks for all that info Nomisf, here is one I was keeping my eye on.......
I will have a good read of that this week, if its pretty standard, clean & you know........proper then it I might snap your arm off for it, its hard to find s13's without hidden problems these days!
[QUOTE=Jonny Wilkinson;6438472]It depends what you want. I think they're harder to upkeep than an S13 and probably about the same price to buy comparing an S12 in the same condition as an S13 but...
oh.................disappointing, but thanks for your views, so, maybe not such a good idea.... :(
Hello!
I have been tempted with a S12 for a while now, having owned 4 S13's, and an s15 spec-R and being a slightly more......mature driver I have now really got the itch to find myself a nice tidy...
will do, looking at some new spark plugs now, having a bit of difficulty sourcing the correct ones as my S13 still has its cat, and copper plugs no good apparently......thats in another thread on...
your half way there! do it properly and get those bits on and happy days, do a hunt on here for stage 2 CA18DET stuff, but i think thats all the bits you will need in my previous post.
very standard.
The thing that has got me concerned is that the O/M states different plugs whether it has got a cat or not.
Its basically go with what the O/M says NGK PFRA6-11 £45 squid
or...
Yeah......i kind of.........dropped the ball on that one.......so, no. it was empty according to the fuel gauge, obviously there would of been old petrol in the tank still, but I have half filled the...
Thats just my opinion on the mani though, its always good to get a few sxoc'ers opinions on things before saying yes or no.
What else has been done to your 13?
T28, full exhaust, induction,...
Will do, I have had a bit of bother with spark plugs, which I have posted in another thread now, Im thinking changing the plugs may have something to do with it.......possibly.......
anyone???
I presume when you say bid, you have seen this manifold on Ebay?
I would be careful about buying manifolds on ebay, there is always going to be the problem with ill fitting products if its.....to...
Hi guys, Just a quick question as the title says really.
I have seen a lot of threads on here about spark plugs and people running more boost etc etc, I dont intend to run more boost for now, and...
good thinking, I will try that!!!
Hi guys, wrote a thread the other day but got little to none feedback, so, after a bit more tinkering today I have some more information that I hope will help my questions!
I have a s13, which I...
Thinking a bit more about it, I suppose it could even be a air flow or boost leak issue?
I have been rebuilding a old L reg 200sx over the last year or so and I am at the point now where it runs which has been a long time coming!
I have a couple of niggles to iron out and thought I...
any more advice on the wet test??? my workmate this morning has said that is quite high, although at least it is even among the 4.
Its not got any new rings or anything. Completely standard engine. It has not been run for about 4 years either. Forgot to mention that!
Thanks. That has answered my questions. :)
Thanks for the reply. Do I have a nice healthy engine then?
Hi all,
So, in the middle of rebuilding yet another S13.......yay.
Have just done a compression test, one dry & one wet.
Now I understand why I am doing this test (although its the first...
