Sorted - found a place an hour's round trip away that did me steels with tyres for a fiver each. Left with 12 :)
Turns out if you use your best rattle gun you can make VAG wheels fit :D
Cheap wheels which will ultimately be weighed in with the car. Need tyres, of course.

Need 8 right now, and going forward, probably a set of four every few weeks, depending on progress.
I have an expanding collection of cars with no wheels and need to shift them. I'm in Kent and really need a decent, regular source of cheap 5 stud jap wheels with tyres.
Any breakers recommended?
Every time I watch it, I still wonder if I'll get the engine out before the clock counts down!

Last time I was using forced induction, I used a TurboSmart. Had some nice features like being able to control the rate at which the wastegate opened, but once set, it's not something to continually...

Hello peeps.
I have a 2013 Ford Ranger which needs a set of tyres. Any recommendations? I don't really do any off roading (but to have the capability appeals!)
Any decent quality tyres that...
Ooh - I knew it was a good time to get back onto the forum. We're just about to order a new fridge as well. The missus will be pleased..........
Yeah, rack speed is the main reason to depower a PAS rather than switch to a standard non-PAS. I love mine - quick rack with no numbness, but like I say, it's very marmite. Some people hate it.
Yeah, centres well. I run a shed load of castor though!

non-PAS is different to a depowered PAS rack though. Depowering gives the same turns to lock as PAS, but with spades of feedback by comparison.
I'm in!
Tell him to try royalmail.... :D
What's your reasoning for wanting a non-PAS rack? And is it definitely a depowered PAS rack that you want, or just a standard non-PAS rack?
If you're ever near SE London / kent, you're welcome to...
Is your non-PAS the standard non-PAS then, or a depowered PAS rack? A depowered PAS rack is even heavier than the standard non-PAS. Mine is alomst unmoveable when stationary (it's got a bit more...
A standard non-PAS rack (e.g. old 'scorts and fiestas) has different gearing to a PAS rack. PAS rack has fewer turns to lock than the corresponding non-PAS version of the car.
If you want no PAS...
