Interesting, would that pass an MOT with the operation of the fog lights changing the behaviour of the brake lights?
It is technically possible to wire up a switch to alternate between 4 brake lights (for off-road use) and two brake+two fog (for road use... and MOT, obviously).
Apparently someone has messed with the forum layout - thought it had gone quiet! When did that happen?
I'm in the process of clearing the garage floor so I can fit the car in, but I've drawn a blank on how best to store the axle stands without either leaving them on the floor (in the way) or putting...
Bonus. Sounds like I need to get cracking on emptying the garage at my place then!
Thanks for the offers of help and the loan of the crane. I might be collecting the engine in two weeks time. I'm now wondering if it might be a better idea to have the car moved to mine before we try...
As some of you may know, my S13 has been off the road for a very long time, far longer than originally intended. Long story short, it is now ready to be reunited with its engine. The car is currently...
I arranged one guy to transport it before Christmas but he kept me waiting all day, saying he was on the way but failed to turn up. Going to try another guy when I can arrange a day off. I have...
I need to do an oil change on the Leon but the Opie website only seems to recommend long life oils. What are my choices that are not long life?
Car details:

I'm starting to wonder whether mine is doomed to never be ready to go back on the road. Took two years of pestering to get the engine built and now I'm trying to arrange *reliable* transport to get...
I made my own out of some scrap aluminium.
I've wired in a hidden switch in mine - I can have four brake lights in the summer and two brake lights and two fogs at the times of year when there might be a need for a fog light.
Yes, it is the bottom right one.
Hi folks
Does anyone have a photo of the part Nissan call "PLATE-CRANKSHAFT SPROCKET" Part no 13021F (SEC 120)? Goes between the crank pulley and sprocket. Can't seem to find mine and because...
That's exactly what I do.
I'm in I guess.
To be honest, neither did I at first. I'd sat around scratching my head thinking that it can't be too difficult and the manual seemed to imply there wasn't any need for special removal...
When I fetched my crank sprocket off I stripped some electrical wiring and fed it behind the sprocket to use for pulling towards me. It's a close fit on the crank, so you have to be very patient and...
I should point out, it was transformed from looking like this
I just edited the post - google drive won't let you embed the shared link as an image, had to use URLs instead.

Bear with me, I'm trying to find out which of the two addresses I have for them is current (they moved a couple of years ago).
They haven't done anything of mine yet but my brother has had a lot...
I know of a place in Ludlow. They aren't the cheapest but they make up for it in quality of work. Let me know if you want their details and I'll dig them out.
