Also the subframe locking collars could not have helped with the noise. But that is another one of those modifications that gives benefits at the expense of noise!

What I meant was that losing the servo assistance from a system designed for one might make the pedal action very hard.
You will have to completely rethink the bmc and caliper piston sizes, unless you want a right leg like Arnie's. I once lost all assistance in a Rover 420 and I only just stopped in time from crawling...
