So you say a dodgy fuel pump caused this on another car? That's kinda good news. I just didn't want to replace the fuel pump if it wasn't...

But this is any load at all. I.e. pulling away from a stop. I'm not giving it any wellie at all.

Oh, and I've had limp-home mode before, when my intercooler hose popped off. That didn't spit...

How can that cause unburnt fuel and misfiring though? It's obviously working a bit, because the car runs. I thought when they died, they just died completely. Has anyone had a partially dead one?...

Crap. Driving home my S14 quite suddenly started misfiring badly. It seems to run reasonably at around 1000 to 1500, until you put your foot down a little. Then it misfires, you have no power, and...

Other than wear and tear (brake pads, disks etc) the only thing to go wrong in four years has been a cracked manifold.

Oh, and the fan resistor pack. That was 15quid.

I agree. Apart from the IBM Deskstar incident. Which was fupping disgraceful. Not in terms of the fact that it happened, but the way they dealt with it..

For a consumable that's required every six months or so, people aren't willing to switch over and flush the engine because of a one off group buy.

Note that silkolene was cheaper than Mobil 1, until everyone changed over and flushed their engine with it.. Then the price shot up :rolleyes:

Unfortunately I think one of the brakedisks I've just bought is drilled a bit off center.. The spigot ring refuses to sit flush, and when it's on it scrapes against the caliper a...

I'm just about to start the 315mm brake conversion on my S14 using a kit from DanS14.. Now I know that last time I changed my pads the shims were totally knackered. I didn't have any replacements...

I've added some brake fluid, goodridge hoses, and some rear pads to the order too :)
