I run 11.5x17 rears with a 255 tyre and I've always run 33 psi no problems my fronts are never usually stretched much and I always run 30 in them seems to work well for me

I had a very similar problem with my 3a 14a it would cough/splutter occasionally on idle and when being revved, it was only as it got worse i managed to find the problem took ages to find it though,...

Hey karl i assume that was me with the impreza brakes if your from the glossop area.
they are a pretty easy conversion and just need a peice of steel making drilled with hole's for the hub carrier...
ill most likley be away by the end of the month ( crimbo at sea again :(:(:(:(:( ) so doubt ill be around ....... but i will make sure im here for next year !!! :wack:
Im just down the road in barney dude n id recomend john pyes in bishop auckland theyve done a lot of work on my previous and current 14a they can be a lil pricey but the quality of work is...

i said it was fun to drive on its limits which it was at the time.
just trying to make the point that i understand fwd cars can be fun to drive aswell and i did mention that it was rather shite !
i get your point i really do :nod: my old calibra used to put a massive grin on my then 19 year old face when pushing it to its limits ( which wasnt that hard to do as it was rubbish but it still...
personally id rather have my stage 3a 14a over a focus rs any day! it is only coincidence i have half a brain ( and thats due to alcohol :D ) which may be why i would prefer my 14a to a chavved up...
