Would a decent gauge be a Defi or Autometer? How would the seperate warning light be wired up?
Is the fitting for an uprated pressure switch 1/8 NPT?
A nice simple diagram of how it's installed...
How would I go about fitting one of these?
What parts would I need?
Could I just change the original oil pressure switch for and adjustable one, turn it to approx 20psi, and then wire a big red...
That's a great laymans write up perfect for me. Will get started and see what issues arise.
Hopefully I haven't fooked it altogether.
Engine had :
ACL STD race rod bearings
ACL STD race main bearings
Piston ring set
Oil stem seals
Half a dozen new valves
Gates Timing belt kit with tensioner and idler
Oil filter
Exhaust...
Last month Retro Cars had a little write up on the S12, so I sent a couple of pics of mine in to the editor, along with a great little write up message.
To my astonishment in Nov 2013 Retro Cars...
I've gone for the baby RB in the shape of the CA18DET just as its simpler to drop in. But a full on RB would be a monster. I'm sure I saw a full write up somewhere of a French guy doing it. May...
Mk1 is also a lot lighter, I have changed front and back bumpers to save weight for track use.
A big Thankyou to wardy88 for helping my poorly DET S12.
Engine rebuilt and ready of a couple hundred miles running in before it gets a bashing:D
:sxoc:
I had this problem when I installed the S13 setup on my S12 so I could run S13 coilovers. The dimension you require is called the 'X' Factor, which is the measurement from the hub line to the back...
I ordered an S13 LUK clutch and its perfect, apparently it's good for 250bhp also.
Good night, i especially enjoyed the sun. Need a good local engine builder my GULF blue S12 is poorly. Compression tested today and 1 and 3 are showing 75.
Can anyone help to get it fixed quickly...
Good thread this.
Where is the best place to get bits for the CA uprated and standard. I have the same problem, blowing white smoke and needs a topend rebuild.
Does anyone know a good engine...

WOW, this has completely lost me.
Found it along with a couple more, just seen your post on S12oc also :))
This is all a little too deep and technical for me and need help on this subject.
Anyone have one of these or know where to get one.
Found the thread on SXOC, PM'd Martin but not sure if he is still making them or active anymore.
Does anyone have plans for this?
I sent like a billion questions to the guy on eBay selling the wheels asking for loads of measurements and he was really good.
Also spoke to Rarerims who helped a little but not a lot, and the...
Managed to win the Enkei wheels above for £124. Put them on and they fit and clear the calipers fine. Took the disc off just to bolt the caliper up quickly for the photo to see if it would fit.

GTST caliper pics bolted to S13 4 stud hub measurements:

I run a Stage One with a LUK clutch with no problems either
Found out the caliper to spoke clearance is called the 'X Factor' but wheel companies don't list it. There are wheels that give big clearance (XXR 522, Rota's)
The GTST discs go straight on and...
Just looking at original Skyline GTST Alloys, and the spokes do look to bow out more aggressively than my Lensos. If that's the answer I'll be well happy :)
So In your opinion would those Enkei's fit, or is there some kind of measuring up to do so I don't end up with a garage full of wheels that don't fit.
There is just short of an inch clearance to the strut. there is a fair amount of camber which could be dialled out slightly to give a little more clearance, but not much.
This is how the wheels...
May have a chance of the Enkeis fitting as they are originally from a Skyline, just need to figure out what offset I need, if anyone knows the best way to measure this
