No, I don't think it does :\ The key causes the central locking to work, but the alarm and the immobilizer aren't doing anything.

I read about if tor ages before, I think it's a weakening of the spring inside. I bet if you took it apart, and stretched it, then put it back, the sound would be gone for a short time.

I'm pretty sure they're the same manufacturer, really. The fobs are the same. They're just a different colour.

I hear you can get replacement buttons of the cobra alarms and they're the same ;)
