Sounds almost identical to mine and that just went for £5000.
Sadly the chap who bought it blew up the engine when he mis-shifted from 3rd to 4th, and somehow managed to get 2nd.... :wack:

Just to follow up on this, it was the starter motor. Not sure of details, but imagine it just needed re-winding.
What's wrong with that, you could have really massive hands for all I know?!
I'm leaning towards this one, reasonable-ish price and with options to be battery or mains powered, and rubberised so...
Right, car started fine this morning, albeit slow cranking again.
One of the managers got one of our contracted auto electricians in to have a look, and he tested battery and alternator whilst...
Cheers for the replies folks. I'm thinking it might be useful to get some form of stick light as well as a halogen lamp. Tried one of those ring stick lights in halfords yesterday and then instantly...
Jon, that is correct, nothing has been changed. There is no bulb in the boot light, so not that. And I don't think there is a light in the glovebox on a S14a.... if there is, I've never noticed it!
...
How can you test for this?
When I first bought my car the battery was a little tired after letting it go flat over winter so I bought a micra battery from halfords to replace it (December 2010). All has been well since then as...
I think the LED lamp sticks would be a good idea the more I think about it. A lamp would be great under a car, but not so usable in the engine bay. There seems to be so many out there though ranging...
Morning folks,
I'm after a worklight of some description when I'm working in my garage as I've only got a magnetic tripod torch at the mo. This is fine when you're outside and need a bit of extra...
The sun was shining, the polishing was completed - so I thought it'd be rude not to take a few pics whilst the SX was looking mighty fine. Then I stumbled upon a lovely location whilst doing the...
Anyone interested in a S14(a) boot build as I'm back in Wales on some weekends so can easily transport?
Willing to listen to offers as I'm not really sure what kind of market there is for sound...
No probs, will sort it out later or tomorrow.
It's been crossing my mind lately that I need something more practical as mine is just too low and hard for the everyday use it is getting in my new job.
It's a stage 1a plus a bit, standard body...
I've just recently ordered ball joints from camskill and fitted. They were moog ones, but cost around £40 each. I can confirm that they sell the correct part.
I used a blowtorch and vice to fit...
Or if they don't have a means of gripping the damper tube (like mine) then apply some load to the shock, i.e. jack up the corner of the car on the suspension arm, or tighten the preload massively...
That's a bolt hole!!
The nipple you need will be under the plenum / throttle body - or any nipple in the pipework that will see boost.
Keep wearing the dark sunglasses and telling yourself it's red!
I'm off to Worcester to start a new job with Air Products. Will be nice to be a bit more central to events etc!
That's a massive bummer - clearly even the weather gods don't like pink cars.
Unfortunately I'm leaving Wales permanently this Saturday, hope you get it sorted though.
It's when they're wired in 'normally' the car won't let you lock and immobilise it using the key fob. You can still use the key in the door and manually lock it, but won't have the alarm armed.
As...
As above - a larger compressor side will shift more air for the same pressure. However, there is also the exhaust side to think about. Too small and it won't utilise high exhaust gas speed / volume...
If there's a lot of heat, that'd suggest that the brake was constantly dragging on the disc, however, you will only really notice a warped disc when you try to brake and will get a mega vibration...
IIRC it's where the oil pump fits to the block and causes a very slight weep. Common on most SR's.
That skyline that caught fire was a little more than a weep - for oil to catch fire it needs to...
It's got flat sides at the end - put them in a vice and twist the caliper carrier. It will easily work loose with the leverage and some upward force whilst twisting.
I put a post up in the welsh section recently about an S14a that I pulled up next to in a petrol that had dumped a load of fuel across the forecourt during / after filling. Either way, it looked like...
