thanks, so with that adaptor i can get shot of the oil filter housing/ oil cooler and fit an external cooler and join the coolant lines together.

is there an adaptor that goes straight to the block to get rid of the filter housing and the coolant part.

thats right not by much. i haven't measured the gap but 2 fingers on the passenger side is a tight fit but on the driver side its not so tight, at a guess there is prob a 5mm difference
