@Chris, the bonnet was closed shut tightly. Didnt have any indication it would flip open. Just used the original lock and hook, worked for me for the 2-3 years I drove with it.

I've been experiencing some problems with starting.
Problem slowly seems to be getting worse.

At the moment I need to crank it like 10 seconds with the gas paddle fully down to get it to start...
